...wait fifteen minutes; it'll change. On one of the hottest days of the year, a sudden storm cloud forms, rains like only Noah has seen, and drops the temperature more than 20 degrees. Yup, this is Texas.
Pic taken while I was stopped at a light.

Exact same thing happened here in Tulsa.
Why couldn't it have happened overnight so I wouldn't have had to sweat my ass off working outside this morning?

It has been horribly hot and humid in Houston this week. Normally, that's okay, but there has been ZERO breeze. Just still air.

That storm was crazy - moving due south if not southwest in some places.

Pretty much all of OK and TX (excluding the panhandles) have basically had the pleasure of enjoying the climate of a swamp for the past week.

I sure hope it gets down here to South Texas. It's hot and humid as balls.

I doubt it will. These are the regular random severe t-storms Houston gets every summer. Clear skies, then BOOM torrential downpour + lightning.

We had a similar situation today, except that the cool off was preceded by 70+mph gusts.....looking up to see the roof of your warehouse shift two feet to the side will make ya pucker!!!

Yeah. I thought we were going to get a thunderstorm, but it's still 108F despite it being 10pm. The storm completely dissapated. Now it's windy and 108F at 10pm. It feels like a bomb went off.

At least it's a DRY heat, amirite? /s
We're about to get popped by another round of... *looks at the radar* Nope, never mind. A storm that was bearing down on my house just took a quick left turn. Lots of thunder and lightning, no rain.
